Admissions Criteria
Admissions Criteria
We want you to thrive.
Throughout the school year, The Circle School enrolls students ages four through eighteen who meet the two following criteria:
- The school and the family believe that the student can thrive in The Circle School’s program.
- The student chooses to join the school community.
Throughout the admissions process, we will work with you to determine the good fit between your family and The Circle School, as well as to provide your child or teen with the information he or she needs to make his or her own decision about enrollment. All enrollments begin with 4-week Practice Period followed by a one-year initial commitment, and we further ask that older teens commit to being here for at least two years.
We believe that most children can thrive in The Circle School’s program if they choose to be here. Academic performance and IEPs are not factors in our admissions process. Occasionally we find that we are unable to make an offer of admission, sometimes related to a history of severe behavioral or emotional patterns that may be difficult for our small community to absorb. If you’re wondering if your child is a good fit, give us a call at 717-564-6700.
With or without special needs or giftedness, The Circle School welcomes every child who wants to be here and can thrive in our community, and welcomes families of every composition. We admit students of any race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, and sexual orientation to all the rights, privileges, activities, and programs generally accorded or made available to students at the school; do not discriminate on any of these bases in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and financial aid programs, and other school-administered programs.
